  Mike Durham completely redid our pool in 2010. It is now 2017. We have put thousands into it fixing the damage that resulted. He never even sealed the gunite in our pool so again we are facing more expenses. He was never here to oversee the work & his employees couldn't speak english so I was unable to tell them to please stop throwing big chunks of concrete into our skimmers. Mike rarely answered phone calls time when his workers ran out of materials he was suppose to provide nor when I called. One has a pipe blocked underground to this day. We had to pay someone else to open a drain in our hot tube to get giant chunks out of it because it wouldnt drain. I felt sorry for him after he gave me a sob story that he really needed the last third of his money. Paid him. Could kick myself. He never completely finished the job. I had to drive to his house to ask for the lightbulbs that he never put in the walls. He wasn't there. We ended up hiring someone else to finish the job. He said he was insured but he knew the problems we were having, never showed remorse or gave an apology. This is the only company I have ever given a bad review. I feel it necessary to tell people the truth about our experience with Mike Durham. It is possible he has changed by now. Just be careful, do a lot of research, ask to see proof of a license, insurance & don't pay until you are sure the job is completely done & done correctly. I wish we had put up hidden cameras around our home prior to that. I would have seen all of the shortcuts & mistakes the workmen covered up. It would have saved a lot of money.
  12/7/2017 In response to Mike Durham's comment below. I am telling the total truth. I reported him to BBB after he didn't come back to finish our pool & ignored my calls & even a certified letter. I deleted the complaint after he assured me he would finish my pool & make things right. I didn't want to hurt him. I never heard from him again. We bought new lights for our pool & had another company put them in. I was naive & trusting because he seemed so nice. He gave me so many sob stories & I believed him. Hopefully he has changed by now.
  I have copies of registered letters & receipts I will post if necessary.
  I also have photos of a workman pulling chunks of concrete out of our hot tube drain. We also still have the receipts.
  His insurance, (if he had any), should have covered payments for the damage his employees caused due to his negligence. We were advised to file a lawsuit against him. We can't do that to somebody. We do feel a responsibility to warn others. Get a pool contractor with a license & proof of insurance.
